Job Category:RAS Shuttle Bus PLRepublic Airways is hiring a Shuttle Bus Operations Manager who is positive, dependable, and focused on maintaining the safety of our guests and associates as they hold the responsibility of fulfilling all campus transportation needs , including trainer center, corporate headquarters, adjacent hotels, and parking garage at our Corporate Headquarters in Carmel, Indiana. The Shuttle Bus Operations Manager duties include implementing strategic oversight of the Shuttle Bus Strategy, and leading and supervising Shuttle Bus Drivers, Dispatchers and supervisors as they pick up new hires from the airport, driving employees back and forth to the training center and other destinations, and providing transportation between campus and off campus sites.The Shuttle Bus Operations Manager is responsible for operational efficiencies across all shifts. Their focus is to coach, train and develop the Shuttle Bus Drivers, Dispatchers, and Transportation Analysts.A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not necessary to be considered for the Operations Manager role, but will be required if hired into the role. If selected, you will receive paid training to obtain your CDL and the cost of the CDL will be reimbursed by the company. Candidates must obtain/have a valid Indiana Driver’s License to begin the CDL process.ResponsibilitiesAt Republic Airways, as Shuttle Bus Operations Manager you will be responsible for all Shuttle Bus Operations, providing transportation to and from off-site parking and between campus and off campus sites. This includes and is not limited to:Creating schedules and ensuring each shift if properly staffed by drivers and dispatchers.Assist dispatcher when needed to assign routes to each Shuttle Bus Driver and ensure there is a point of contact to cover each shift.Manage and conduct driver training, recommend retraining, and coach drivers as required.Conduct safety training and meetings. Review accident reports to reduce the number and severity of accidents and maintain complete safety files (i.e. accident reports, I-9, bus reports, safety inspections).Coordinate compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and work closely with Republic management to accomplish company objectives.Maintain required training and driver qualification documentation for completeness in compliance with company policies and district/state/federal requirements.Assist with overseeing DOT Compliance, Internal Audits, Federal Medical Card certification, Driver’s License – Expiration, Motor Vehicle Record Annual/Bi-Annual Check, Federal Clearinghouse Compliance, Drug and Alcohol Compliance, Random Pool, and Reasonable Suspicion testing.Ensures the proper use of safety practices and procedures from Shuttle Bus Drivers, including assuring each driver makes appropriate radios calls, follows schedule/ pattern for appropriate routes, and ensures timely service.Trains Shuttle Bus Drivers to load and unload passengers while providing exceptional Guest Service to Team Members. Greeting all Team Members with appropriate greeting (“Good Morning”, “Good Afternoon, “Good Evening”). Screens passengers discreetly for special accommodations and provides appropriate information and or assistance.Audit driver paperwork as required oversee bus cleanliness programs, setting standards and implementing workflows to ensure those standards are met by the Shuttle Bus Drivers, including: cleaning bus and bus stops, inspect bus for service issues, monitors stops and bus equipment throughout the day and schedules appropriate follow-ups as neededEnsure that the fleet mechanically sound and that all required preventive and scheduled maintenance has been performed in compliance with DOT requirements.Establishes and maintains clear communications with other bus operators and management team to ensure a consistent, superior level of customer service.Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:At a minimum, qualified Candidates must have at least 5 years of current valid licensed operating experience which must be continuous and last three years must have been in the United States.
