Job summary

Glovis America, Inc. seeks a PIO Installer to perform port-installed accessory installations on new vehicles within a fast-paced production setting. The role requires ensuring safety and quality while meeting installation targets and accommodating overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities include vehicle preparation, kit assembly, and verification with QC. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in a plant manufacturing/warehouse environment in Shreveport, LA.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Observe safety precautions when moving vehicles and equipment.
• Prepare vehicles for installation by pulling required accessory parts.
• Assemble and install port-installed accessories per manufacturer instructions.
• Notify Quality Control Inspector after installation; address deficiencies.
• Meet monthly installation production goals and work overtime when needed.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and assist teammates as required.

Summary

The PIO Installer is responsible for installing port installed accessories on new vehicles. Performance and efficiency of each installation is reviewed, analyzed and measured for continuous improvement. Individual must be able to work at a fast pace and be flexible if operation plan changes. Must be open to overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Observing safety precautions, drives vehicle from the staging area into the Production Shop work area


• Prepare vehicle for installation by pulling proper accessory part


• Obtain and sign for appropriate materials sheets
  
  Prepare accessory kits for installation


• Install accessories according to manufacturer's instructions


• Notify Quality Control Inspector once installation is complete


• Correct any deficiencies noted by Quality Control before the vehicle is returned to staging area


• Complete a defect tag if parts are defective and submit to Supervisor, for which part may be considered a warranty claim


• Meet monthly installation production goals


• Must have ability to frequently stand, bend, climb, squat, and lift up to 50lbs


• Ensure installers are installing properly


• When required, perform installations outside


• Assist fellow team members to make sure quality is maintained, and installations are completed in a timely manner


• Observing safety precautions, drives vehicle from the staging area into the Production Shop work area


• Must be able to address issues with other installers


• Communicate with Supervisor or Manager on any issue in PIO


• Return vehicle to staging area


• Observing safety precautions, drives vehicle from the staging area into the Production Shop work area


• Assist in other departments as needed


• Assist fellow team members to make sure quality is maintained, and installations are completed in a timely manner


• Assist team members to assure quality is maintained during installations


• Follow all safety and compliance standards


• Observe all safety precautions, while working in the production work area.


• Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follows all policies and procedures regarding safety.


• Follow all safety procedures and bring all violations to the attention of management.
