Job summary

Remedy Intelligent Staffing is seeking Shredder Operators for a long-term temporary role in Eastern Iowa. The position supports multiple production areas including packaging, warehousing, and pulp shredding, with a focus on quality and GMP compliance.

The role requires operating shredding and packaging equipment, loading and transferring materials, and maintaining records. Forklift experience is preferred. Work hours are 7pm–7am on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Operate shredding and packaging equipment.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Reliable and safe operator in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment necessary to properly shred raw materials and/or package finished product
• Load, unload, store, sample, and transfer raw materials, finished product, and miscellaneous items
• Provide relief coverage to departments as assigned
• Maintain equipment through proper lubrication, minor repairs/adjustments; report all malfunctions and needed repairs
• Maintain accurate and complete records
• Routinely sanitize and clean plant equipment and facilities
• Assist in training new shredders
• Perform material handling duties in accordance with all applicable OSHA and EPA standards
• Effectively communicate with all other team members
• Participate in safety, quality, and productivity

Our client is looking for Shredder Operators to join their team.

Pay: $19.00 / hour

Shift: 7pm to 7am, rotating schedule.

Long Term Temporary position.

Position Summary:

The Shredder operator is trained to assist in several areas of production including but not limited to the packaging system, warehousing, pulp shredding, and handling equipment to safely produce quality product in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
