Purple Mattress is growing; we are seeking a friendly, communicative store manager to oversee daily operations at our Durham, NC location. You will lead a team of 4-5 associates, engage with customers, and drive store profitability.

The role offers $65,000 annually plus monthly commissions; requires 5+ years retail experience and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays; high school diploma required, bachelor's preferred.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $65,000 annually. In addition, this role is eligible for monthly commissions on qualifying mattress sales, per the commission agreement terms and conditions.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing our team of retail associates, interfacing with our customers, and contributing to the overall success and profitability of the store.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of high school diploma; bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• 5+ years of experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a store manager role
• Be comfortable learning & adapting to new technology
• Excellent interpersonal communication capabilities
• Customer service-oriented attitude
• Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively
• Strengths in leadership, management, team building, and problem solving
• Understanding of basic business management functions
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
