Job summary

Arizona Tile is seeking a Showroom Consultant to help customers select tile and granite products that meet design and durability goals. You will use design skills and product knowledge to guide choices and present samples in a professional showroom setting.

In this role, you will maintain an organized showroom, stay current on product lines, and assist with merchandise presentation. A high school diploma is required with 2+ years in retail sales and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of retail sales experience within a professional environment.
• Prior experience with interior design helpful, but not required, product training is provided.
• Basic knowledge of design elements (size, proportion, color, balance, and light); ability to use a tape measure and sketch ideas on paper.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with solid verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes customers promptly and provides refreshments to create a professional, warm showroom atmosphere.
• Assists customers by using product knowledge to answer questions, offer design ideas, and present product samples.
• Contributes to showroom merchandising to keep products visually appealing and the space organized.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of stone, tile, rough goods, and chemicals.
• Keeps up to date with design trends and competitors’ products.
• Prepares and stocks product samples with identification and information for customers.
