Job summary

Intermountain Health in Provo, Utah, seeks a Shoulder and Elbow Orthopedic Surgeon to join a Musculoskeletal team renowned for quality care and patient experience. The role includes clinic time, OR duties, and APP support, with opportunities for ASC involvement and active trauma coverage.

The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery or arthroplasty focused on sports-related shoulder/elbow care, and hold or be able to obtain an Utah medical license.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
• ACGME accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, or arthroplasty with throwing athletes shoulder/elbow focus.
• Active Utah medical license or ability to obtain one.
• BLS certification and DEA.
• Ability to complete Intermountain Health credentialing process.
• We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities

• Practicing from Utah Valley Hospital and Utah Valley Orthopedic Clinic in Provo, Utah.
• 2 days per week in clinic and 2 days per week OR surgical time; patient-preferred hours encouraged.
• Participation in sub-specialty call as needed; compensation provided.
• APP support in clinic and OR.
• Opportunity to participate in a local Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
• Support from a Utah Valley team with direct referrals from BYU and UVU for sports-related shoulder/elbow cases.
• Comprehensive treatment of all shoulder and elbow conditions.
• Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (if applicable).
• Post-fellowship sports medicine experience preferred.
