Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska seeks a coordinator for developmental disabilities services to collaborate with referrals, resources, and services for consumers who are developmentally disabled. You will ensure eligibility and manage waitlist processing to secure funding for services.

The role includes overseeing the Short-term Assistance Referral Grant and coordinating related activities with state agencies and tribal programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Services, Special Education, Liberal Education, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, nursing, or a closely related field preferred.
• One or more years of previous work in native programs preferred; experience with families and/or DD service providers preferred.
• Tuberculin clearance at time of employment and CPR and First Aid certification required or willing to complete the class.
• Experience with office equipment (i.e. computer, multi-line telephone, fax machine, copy machine, scanner, laptop and docking port, and a digital camera).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with referrals, resources, and services for consumers who are developmental disabled.
• Ensure developmental disability eligibility and waitlist forms are completed and submitted to the State and enabling funding to be forthcoming for potential consumers to receive services.
• Oversee and coordinate all activities related to the Short-term Assistance Referral Grant.
