Launch REI in Atlanta seeks an editor to grow a personal-brand focused channel on real estate, investing, and financial freedom. You’ll turn scripts and raw footage into clean, engaging videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, then schedule them through Buffer.

The role targets 90 short-form videos per month with a mix of remote work and occasional in-person filming. You’ll edit talking-head content, add captions and overlays, draft thumbnail text and captions, upload via Buffer,

Qualifications

• Maintain clean, well-paced edits and consistent presentation.

Responsibilities

About the Role

I’m a real estate entrepreneur and founder of Launch REI, looking for an Atlanta-based editor to help grow my personal brand around real estate, investing, and financial freedom.

I’ll provide scripts and raw footage. You’ll turn that footage into clean, engaging videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, then schedule them through Buffer.

Our target is 90 short-form videos per month. Most will be straightforward talking-head videos. Success means clear, well-paced edits, accurate captions, consistent presentation, and content published on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Edit talking-head videos, removing mistakes, awkward pauses, and unnecessary gaps.
• Add readable captions, text overlays, and occasional simple lists or screenshots.
• Prepare thumbnail text and written post captions.
• Upload and schedule videos through Buffer.
• Keep footage and finished videos organized.
• Communicate regularly through text, Zoom, and occasional in-person meetings.
• Occasionally help record content in Atlanta, including basic camera and audio setup.

Qualifications

• Examples of short-form videos you’ve edited, including content for your own accounts.
• Comfortable using CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or a similar editing tool.
• A good eye for pacing, readable captions, and clean presentation.
• Reliable, organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable incorporating feedback.
• Based in the Atlanta area and available for occasional filming sessions.
• Basic graphics or chart-making skills are a plus, but not required.
• No degree or specific number of years of experience required.

Schedule & Compensation

This is an ongoing part-time freelance opportunity at $20/hour, starting at approximately 15 hours per week. Most work can be completed remotely around agreed deadlines. We’ll begin with a paid trial to assess editing quality, workflow, and production time.
