Job summary

PIMCO is seeking a Trader focused on short-duration credit, structured products, and liquidity management. Based in Newport Beach, you will report to the Head of the short-term desk and help manage daily liquidity trading while evolving toward portfolio construction and product development.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, 2–4 years’ experience in fixed income, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a significant advantage.
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience in fixed income or liquidity products.
• In-depth knowledge of liquidity products and short-dated credit opportunities.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with risk awareness.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Trade and/or portfolio management across corporate bonds, agency securities, and asset-backed securities.
• Support daily trading of liquidity/short-dated assets and contribute to portfolio construction.
• Assist with cash management and efficiency improvements on short-duration mandates.
• Generate ideas to add alpha while managing risk in real time across products.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders worldwide.
