Job summary

Buff City Soap is seeking a hands-on Shopify developer to own the storefront end-to-end. You will design and maintain Shopify Plus themes, implement integrations via GraphQL APIs, and optimize performance across BOPIS and ship-from-store workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with the Shopify API (GraphQL) and third-party app integration.
• Experience with Shopify Plus payment gateways, inventory management, and checkout configuration.
• Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.
• Proficiency with Git or similar version control; strong debugging and troubleshooting; clear communicator.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain custom Shopify Plus themes and templates.
• Write clean, well-documented code in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Manage store configuration: product catalog, collections, navigation, and promotions.
• Optimize site speed and performance through code efficiency and caching.
• Integrations: configure Shopify apps and vendor APIs to customize functionality.
• Support fulfillment channels including BOPIS, ship-from-store, and same-day delivery.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and stay current on Shopify Plus platform updates.
