Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing on the Shopify platform.
• Proficiency with Liquid templating and Shopify Theme development.
• Strong skills in JavaScript, React, and modern front‑end technologies.
• Understanding of eCommerce fundamentals and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Shopify app development (public and private apps).
• Experience with Shopify Plus and the Shopify API.

We're looking for an experienced Shopify Engineer to join our team and help us deliver world-class eCommerce solutions for our clients. You'll work on challenging Shopify Plus projects, from custom theme development to headless commerce implementations, while collaborating with designers, strategists, and other developers to create exceptional digital experiences.As a Shopify Engineer at Nebulab, you'll have the opportunity to work with international mid-market and enterprise brands, tackle complex technical challenges, and contribute to the growth of our Shopify practice. First 3 months:

Onboard and familiarize yourself with our Shopify development workflows and ongoing projectsStart contributing to theme customizations and app development tasksParticipate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams

3-6 months:

Take on larger Shopify Plus projects and start leading implementationsDemonstrate impact on project delivery and client satisfactionIntegrate third-party services and APIs with Shopify stores

6-12 months:

Fully own major Shopify projects from requirements to deploymentMentor junior team members on Shopify development best practicesRun internal workshops and presentations to elevate team skillsContribute to Shopify's ecosystem through app development, open-source contributions, and drive innovations in our Shopify service offerings

Essential:

3+ years of experience developing on the Shopify platformProficiency with Liquid templating and Shopify Theme developmentStrong skills in JavaScript, React, and modern front‑end technologiesUnderstanding of eCommerce fundamentals and best practicesEffective communication skills for working with both teammates and clientsInclusive, community-driven mindset with eagerness to learn and share knowledgeProficiency with Shopify Plus and the Shopify APIHands‑on experience with Shopify app development (both public and private apps)
