Paragon Model Shop in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge design models and production on the shop floor. You'll set up equipment for specialized runs, monitor uptime, and work with maintenance to keep production moving.

You will collaborate with engineering and CAD teams to verify SolidWorks models, adjust tooling parameters, and provide hands-on technical support to operators. This on-site role offers a structured career path and a profit-sharing culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• CAD proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical assemblies and troubleshoot on the shop floor.
• Work Authorization: United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct daily technical support to shop floor operators and machining staff.
• Set up, calibrate, and verify manufacturing machines and tooling for production jobs.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical or operational issues as they arise during runs.
• Partner with maintenance for corrective repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Review SolidWorks CAD models to ensure compatibility with fabrication equipment.
• Maintain clear cross-functional communication with the shop manager, engineering, and IT.
