Job summary

Pillar Innovations, LLC in Grantsville, MD, is seeking a skilled Shop Welder to fabricate and assemble metal components in a fast-paced shop. You will read blueprints and follow work orders, using GMAW or GTAW welding methods on steel, aluminum, stainless, and galvanized metals.

We offer four 10-hour days, day shift with a 4-day weekend every other week, night shift with a $2/hr differential, overtime available, and an ESOP employee-ownership structure with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding and/or fabrication experience in an Industrial Metal Shop preferred.
• Ability to weld in GMAW or GTAW; certification preferred.
• Must successfully complete a weld test prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate assigned welding equipment.
• Read, understand, and execute work orders and QA standards.
• Tack-weld or weld components using welding equipment.
• Perform structural welding (groove, fillet, complete/partial joint penetration).
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Perform quality checks during production to ensure tolerance requirements.
