DeAngelo Contracting Services, LLC seeks a Shop/Traveling Diesel Mechanic in Oklahoma City, OK. The role requires diagnosing and repairing medium- and heavy-duty trucks across multiple sites with a company truck provided for travel.

Responsibilities include advanced diagnostics, preventative maintenance, welding, and accurate repair documentation. Frequent travel across OK, TX, LA, KS, CO is expected; hotel accommodations and per diem are provided.

Qualificações

• 3+ years diesel mechanic experience on medium- or heavy-duty trucks
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting across diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and emissions systems
• Knowledge of diesel aftertreatment and DEF systems
• Ability to work in the field with minimal supervision
• Fabrication and welding experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT physical
• CDL preferred but not required
• Willingness to travel across multiple states
• Verifiable employment history and hands-on mechanical experience

• Perform preventative maintenance, routine servicing, and emergency repairs
• Complete fabrication, welding, and cutting as needed
• Maintain service truck, tools, parts inventory, and repair documentation
• Communicate repair updates and equipment needs to management
• Follow safety procedures and DOT regulations
• Work extended hours in varying weather conditions

About the Position

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking an experienced Shop / Traveling Diesel Mechanic with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across medium- and heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

This position is ideal for a self-sufficient mechanic who can diagnose complex issues, identify root causes, and complete repairs correctly the first time with minimal supervision.

The shop is located in Oklahoma City, OK, but this role requires frequent travel to job sites throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, and Colorado. A company service truck, hotel accommodations, and per diem are provided for work-related travel.

What You'll Do

• Travel to job sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks, skid steers, and related equipment.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on:
  • Diesel engines and transmissions
  • Electrical systems and wiring
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Emissions and aftertreatment systems, including DEF
  • Air conditioning systems
  • Hi-Rail gear and spray systems
• Use diagnostic scan tools, software, multimeters, pressure gauges, and other testing equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance, routine servicing, and emergency repairs.
• Complete fabrication, welding, and cutting as needed.
• Maintain service truck organization, tools, parts inventory, and accurate repair documentation.
• Communicate repair updates and equipment needs to management.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable DOT regulations.
• Work extended hours when needed and perform repairs in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably working on medium- or heavy-duty trucks.
• Strong hands-on diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and emissions systems.
• Working knowledge of diesel aftertreatment and DEF systems.
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Fabrication and welding experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT physical.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel frequently across multiple states.
• Verifiable employment history and hands-on mechanical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing specialized equipment, including Hi-Rail gear and spray systems.
