Job summary

United Pipeline Systems, Inc. in Durango, CO is seeking a Shop Technician to support all shop operations, material handling, and equipment maintenance. The role requires dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who can work safely in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities include organizing materials, loading/unloading, preparing items for machining, and assisting with production and maintenance. A High School diploma or equivalent and a willingness to learn are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn.
• Ability to read work instructions and basic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, stage, and transport customer materials and inventory.
• Load, unload, and move materials using appropriate equipment and safe lifting practices.
• Prepare materials for machining, coating, sandblasting, finishing, and shipment.
• Operate shop equipment while adhering to all safety requirements.
• Assist with production, fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations.
• Perform basic inspections and verify completed work meets quality standards.
• Support routine equipment maintenance and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Assist mechanics and technicians with repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through labeling, tracking, and organization.
• Package, prepare, and stage completed orders for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and PPE standards.
• Perform other shop and production support duties as assigned.
