Job summary

Baseline Energy is seeking a skilled Shop Technician to repair and maintain power generation equipment in a shop environment near Jourdanton, Texas. The role focuses on maximizing uptime, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

You will handle electrical and mechanical systems, perform monthly service tasks, and collaborate with customers to resolve issues while adhering to shift schedules and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
• General knowledge of job safety and production flow in a shop environment.
• Experienced background or trade school preferred.
• Electrical/generator troubleshooting & repair.
• Engine overhaul is a plus.
• Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must have own hand tools (company provides specialty tools).
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and maximize run time of natural gas generators.
• Monthly oil change, spark plug change, oil and air filters; overhead valve adjustments; check batteries; wash radiators; load bank testing.
• Repair and maintenance of engine and electrical system components: natural gas engine fuel systems, cooling systems, air injection systems, generator control panels, and 480V output components.
• Maintain fit-for-duty status for each shift.
• Maintain a safety-first culture that ensures the protection of Baseline employees and customers.
• Communicate professionally with customers when issues arise.
