Job summary

Rangeline Group in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a Shop Technician to support maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of the workshop. You will perform day-to-day tasks to keep the warehouse running safely and efficiently, and assist with equipment setup and teardown.

The role requires basic hand tools knowledge, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and the capacity to climb ladders. You will document activities and follow safety guidelines under the Operations department.

Qualifications

• OSHA safety regulations and guidelines knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid US driver’s license (preferred).
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day tasks that keep the warehouse running safely and efficiently.
• Occasional travel to run equipment or materials to job sites.
• Perform technical tasks including equipment management, assessment, repair, and maintenance.
• Coordinate and schedule movement of products throughout the warehouse, including storage and shipment of finished products.
• Maintain the shop environment with cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
• Maintain and assist in cleaning company fleet vehicles; inside and out.
• Manage shop inventory and inform supervisor of product needs.
• Keep store, warehouse, and outside areas neat and orderly.
• Inspect and repair tools and tool room equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Set up equipment and take equipment apart.
• Follow established procedures on projects or tasks.
• Document all related activities and complete reports.

Shop Technician

Description

The Shop Technician assists in maintaining workflow by providing and sustaining effective maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of assigned workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing day-to-day tasks that keep the warehouse running safely and efficiently.
• Occasional travel to run equipment or materials to job sites
• Perform technical tasks that include equipment and machinery management, assessment, repair, and maintenance.
• Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
• Maintain the shop environment by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
• Maintain and assist in cleaning company fleet vehicles; inside and out.
• Manages shop inventory and keeps direct supervisor informed of any product needs
• Clean and maintain store, warehouse, and outside areas keeping them in a neat, and orderly condition
• Inspect and repair tools and tool room equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies.
• Setting up equipment and taking equipment apart.
• Follow established procedures when working on projects or tasks.
• Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports as needed.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Proficient oral and written communication

• Must have good knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Read a tape measure with proficiency.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

• Must be able to climb a minimum 30-foot ladder.

Mental Demands/ Physical Demands/ Environmental Factors :

• Tools/Equipment Used: Basic hand tools including but not limited to drills, impact guns, grinders, pressure washer, and various hand tools
• Posture: Prolonged standing and/or bending; occasional stooping, pushing/pulling, carrying, climbing, and twisting
• Motion: Repetitive hand motions, pushing/pulling, carrying, reaching, and twisting
• Lifting: Ability to carry up to 75 lbs. repetitively.
• Environment: Possible districtwide travel with potential exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, noise, vibration, and chemical and electrical hazards
• Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, sudden shifting priorities, and ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
