Job summary

STRUCTURAL is seeking a Shop Technician to support equipment preparation, freight coordination, and parts delivery across our nationwide operations. You will help with packing, stocking shop tools, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced, team-based setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of equipment shop/warehouse experience, a high school diploma, and a proactive mindset focused on safety and collaboration to help the team succeed daily.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in equipment shop/warehouse.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Safety-focused and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to plan and execute tasks with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with final preparation and packing of equipment prior to shipping.
• Coordinate equipment freight and delivery.
• Maintain and organize shop tools, equipment and supplies.
• Keep shop and yard area organized.
• Assist with delivering parts and materials to customer sites and other general tasks.
• Maintain clean work area, minimizing spills and debris.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as needed.
• Interact with technicians, staff, vendors to support shop operations and MX inventory.
• Light mechanical and electrical maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Assist with facility maintenance.
• Operate tools under supervision and comply with safety policies.

Job description

STRUCTURAL offers a wide range of specialty repair and maintenance services and is the largest concrete repair contractor in the United States, with roughly 2,500 employees working from locations nationwide and in select international markets. STRUCTURAL is the open-shop contracting business line of Structural Group.

What You’ll Do

• Provides support with the final preparation and packing of equipment prior to shipping.
• Coordination of equipment freight and delivery.
• Maintenance and orderly storage of shop tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Keeps shop and yard area organized.
• Assists with delivery of parts and materials to customer sites and other general support tasks as may be assigned by the Shop/Resource Manager.
• Maintains clean work area, keeping spills, grease, and debris to a minimum.
• Performs preventative maintenance inspections and ensures timely and effective repair of any problems identified.
• Interacts with various technicians, administrative staff, vendors, and suppliers to provide shop and administrative assistance in a number of areas including maintenance of the MX inventory.
• Light mechanical and electrical maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Assist with facility maintenance.
• With supervision, operates hand-held air, electric and hydraulic powered and non-powered tools, and more complex equipment.
• Complies with all company and OSHA Safety policies when completing work.
