Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing, part of Velocity Vehicle Group, is seeking a Shop Support in Fontana, CA. The role supports the service department, keeps the shop safe, clean, and organized, and upholds our values of Speed, Value, and Trust.

Hours are 11:30am–8:00pm, Monday–Friday. You will perform duties such as safety checklists, tool housekeeping, and assisting with equipment requests while contributing to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing (VTRL) is looking for a Shop Support to join our team in Fontana, CA for following hours: Monday-Friday between 11:30am - 8:00pm!

What You’ll Do:

The Shop Support will be assigned various duties in the Service department that will be essential to the safe and effective operation of the shop. The Shop Support is responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the service shop to ensure a safe work environment. The Shop Support must demonstrate behaviors consistent with company values - Speed, Value, Trust - in all interactions with customers, coworkers and vendors.

Job Duties:

• Complete daily and weekly safety checklists and inspections
• Assist shop employees with requests for equipment and tools
• Maintain a clean and organized shop
• Manages day-to-day operations of the tool room
• Drain oil pan carts into the oil waste barrels
• Monitors tools check in and check out procedure
• Assists with special projects in the shop such as foot printing
• Perform cleaning projects including the management of hazardous waste
• Perform job related duties as assigned and needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize and stay organized
• Ability to work well in a process driven and fast paced environment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (if applicable)
• Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check

Compensation:

• Hourly: $24.00-$25.00 depending on experience and qualifications
• Full Time position
