Job summary

Internetwork Expert is seeking a Shop Support Technician to assist daily shop operations in our Durango, CO facility. This hands‑on role covers material handling, part preparation, inventory organization, and general production support to keep the shop clean, safe, and efficiently running.

Responsibilities include receiving and staging materials, preparing parts for machining, assisting technicians, maintaining inventory, and packing orders for shipment.

Description

The Shop Support Technician supports daily shop operations through material handling, shop cleaning and housekeeping, part preparation, inventory organization, and general production assistance. This hands‑on role helps keep the shop clean, organized, safe, and running efficiently while supporting technicians and production staff as needed.

Compensation

$17.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, stage, load, unload, and transport customer materials and inventory.
• Clean and maintain shop areas, including sweeping, removing debris, and general housekeeping.
• Prepare parts and materials for machining, coating, sandblasting, finishing, and shipment.
• Assist technicians and production staff with general shop and finishing tasks.
• Maintain organized inventory, materials, tools, and storage areas.
• Package and stage completed orders for pickup or shipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform other material handling, cleaning, and shop support duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Work in a noisy industrial environment with exposure to dust and moving equipment.
• Wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel‑toe boots.
• Maintain awareness of workplace surroundings.
