Job description

Red's Powersports is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Shop Support Technician. This position is ideal for someone with experience working on motorcycles, ATVs, side‑by‑sides, snowmobiles, lawn and garden equipment, or other small engines who enjoys a variety of hands‑on work.

This role supports our service technicians and helps keep the dealership, shop, and grounds operating efficiently. No two days are the same, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active and learning new skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist powersports technicians with repairs, maintenance, and shop projects
• Perform basic mechanical work on motorcycles, ATVs, side‑by‑sides, and other equipment as assigned
• Move equipment using forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Wash and detail customer units and dealership inventory
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
• Receive, stock, organize, and transport parts and supplies
• Perform facility maintenance and groundskeeping duties
• Assist with snow removal during winter months
• Help prepare units for delivery and display
• Complete other shop and dealership support tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience required
• Experience with motorcycles, ATVs, side‑by‑sides, small engines, agriculture equipment, automotive, or diesel equipment preferred
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a forklift
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the day
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
