Job summary

Herc Rentals in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Shop Supervisor for the ProSolutions shop. You will lead daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, efficient service and maintenance of specialty equipment to meet customer specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma (technical training preferred), 3+ years in equipment service, and a proven supervisory background. A valid driver’s license and physical capability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years in equipment service, fleet maintenance, or related field.
• Supervisory or team lead experience in a shop or service environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Proven understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems relevant to ProSolutions equipment.
• Experience with OSHA and other safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate activities of service technicians and shop personnel.
• Oversee inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing of ProSolutions equipment (pumps, generators, climate control, etc.).
• Ensure strict compliance with all Herc Rentals safety policies and government regulations.
• Mentor and train technicians, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Manage inventory levels of tools, parts, and supplies; ensure timely ordering and receipt of equipment.
• Conduct regular shop audits for cleanliness, organization, and adherence to operational standards.
• Inspect outgoing equipment to verify proper function and compliance with customer specifications.
• Collaborate with branch staff and other departments to support business operations and customer satisfaction.
• Document and report on shop metrics, including work order completion rates, maintenance schedules, and cost controls.
• Troubleshoot complex repair issues and provide hands‑on technical assistance as needed.

Job Purpose

The ProSolutions Shop Supervisor leads and manages daily operations of the Herc Rentals ProSolutions shop. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality service, repair, and maintenance of specialty equipment, supporting the ProSolutions team's mission to deliver top-tier solutions for customers.
