Bulk Manufacturing of Florida in Florida, USA is seeking a Shop Supervisor with hands-on fabrication experience to lead a 8–12 person shop crew and drive daily production, safety and quality. The role demands strong leadership and a practical, results‑oriented mindset.

The position requires piping project experience, GMAW/SMAW/FCAW welding, ability to read drawings, and familiarity with ASME code requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years fabrication/welding experience with at least 5 years in a fabrication shop supervisory role.
• Experience in piping projects and familiar with GMAW, SMAW, FCAW welding processes.
• Proficient reading and following drawings and manuals, familiar with fabrication concepts and procedures.

Bulk Manufacturing of Florida, a fast-paced cargo tank repair facility and fabrication shop is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented individual to fill a FULL-TIME immediate opening for our Shop Supervisor. The position is an integral part of our management team and the sustainable operational growth of the company. The position will act as the shop floor manager and is expected to manage and direct all work activities and resources for departments, in accordance with cost, quality and schedule.

Must be comfortable managing a crew of 8-12 workers in the shop. MUST be meticulous about work and be able to complete jobs in a timely manner. Time management skills are KEY.

Direct supervision of a crew of 8+ shop employees

Constantly seeks ways to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control where applicable.

Manage and direct all aspects of departments.

Lead the manufacturing group to meet key business objectives including safety, quality, productivity, delivery, etc.

Ensure production and quality requirements are met in order to satisfy the customer base in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Lead, train, develop and mentor all departmental assigned team members.

Maintain discipline to procedures, in accordance with safety, quality, engineering, human resources, and customer provided guidelines.

Overseeing the preventative maintenance of all operating equipment.

Daily space planning for shop.

Daily labor planning.

Assigning work duties and monitoring those work duties to maintain schedules.

Overseeing all applicable department rules and regulations and keeping within individual project budget.

Scheduling daily pick-ups and deliveries

Position Requirements:

Experience in Piping Projects.

Experience and in-depth knowledge of with GMAW, SMAW, FCAW applications.

Experience working in commercial fabrication.

Proficiency in reading and following drawings and manuals.

Must be familiar with standard fabrication concepts, practices and procedures.

Must be familiar with cargo tank inspections and inspection procedures.

Experience with scheduling crews and job timelines.

Experience with fabrication / welding quality control requirements.

Familiarity with ASME code related requirements and documentation a plus.

Experience doing material takeoffs/ordering materials for new jobs.

Great people skills, delegating to coworkers, communicating with company managers, customers.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Must have own tools.

Must have reliable transportation.

Experience: 10 years fabrication/welding with at least 5 years minimum in fabrication shop supervisory role.

Personal Traits: mature, good communication skills, attention to detail, take initiative, good planning, and organization skills.

This position is hourly, starting pay of $33/hr. Benefit packages available for direct employees.
