Job summary

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Document and investigate incidents to continuously improve safety performance.
  • Focus on issues and errors and take the lead in eliminating root causes.
  • Conduct team meetings focusing on safety, production planning and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide daily assignments with expectations and follow up on assignments.
  • Use judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding the sequence of set-ups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Position Summary:

As the Fabrication Supervisor, you will coordinate all production activities and ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely and efficiently. This will ensure that quality products are produced and delivered accordingly and cost-efficiently.

Minimum Starting Salary: $80,000.00 - depending on education/experience

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee and lead employees in safe equipment operations and instill a culture of zero accidents each day.
  • Document and investigate incidents to continuously improve our safety performance.
  • Focus on issues and errors and take the lead in eliminating root causes.
  • Conduct team meetings focusing on safety, production planning and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide daily assignments with expectations and follow up on assignments. Providing feedback/coaching to meet safety, quality, and production requirements.
  • Use judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding the sequence of set-ups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of all aspects of the associated technical disciplines.
  • Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Applications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane, solid geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural fabrication drawings.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire team members.
  • Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to change.
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Four or more years of steel fabrication experience or experience within a related industry.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
  • Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
