Job summary

Astro Pak is seeking an experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee our industrial cleaning and maintenance facility. You will lead shop personnel, coordinate workflow, and ensure safety and quality in daily operations.

This hands-on leadership role requires a strong track record in manufacturing or maintenance, adherence to OSHA standards, and the ability to read blueprints and manage schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading shop, manufacturing, industrial, or maintenance operations.
• Experience managing shop workflow, schedules, equipment, and personnel.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shop operations and assign work to technicians

• Oversee receiving, shipping, and processing of customer equipment
• Maintain shop equipment, vehicles, trailers, and facility systems
• Order shop materials, chemicals, and operating supplies
• Ensure all job documentation is accurate and completed on time
• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance on shop equipment
• Lead monthly safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance
• Maintain a clean, organized shop using 5S principles
• Support shop production by performing hands-on work as needed
• Partner with Operations, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to keep projects moving

What We\'re Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training or Associate degree
• OSHA Certification
• HAZWOPER and/or Confined Space certifications
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate

Work Environment

This is a hands-on leadership position in an industrial shop environment. You\'ll work around mechanical equipment, chemicals, forklifts, and industrial cleaning systems while leading a team and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

The position requires flexibility, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and occasional night shifts based on business needs.
