Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation in Stow, OH is seeking a Shop Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Crown and other lift trucks. You will handle paperwork and welding/fabrication tasks as part of a busy shop team.

The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical and electrical work with opportunities for training and advancement. A high school diploma is required and most shifts are first shift.

Qualifications

• Less than 2 years related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes and knowledge of hydraulics.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
• Technical degree, welding experience, and knowledge of testing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals.
• Industry related training.

Responsibilities

We are seeking knowledgeable customer focused auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift technicians to join the Crown team.

Job Duties

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.

Minimum Qualifications

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
• Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals.
• Industry related training.
