Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a Shop Service Supervisor to direct and supervise service technicians in the field and shop environment. The role emphasizes safety, repair supervision, and team leadership while ensuring quality maintenance on Crown and other lift trucks.

The position requires a high school diploma with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, hydraulics knowledge, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience operating lift trucks safely.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise shop service technicians.
• Recruit, train, motivate, develop, and monitor technician performance; inspect repairs and maintenance; ensure safety.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other lift trucks, batteries and chargers.
• Complete necessary paperwork.
• Lead shop service and safety meetings in alignment with company goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct and Supervise Shop Service Technicians.

• Recruit, train, motivate, develop, and monitor job performance of Shop Service Technicians. Inspect repairs and planned maintenance work. Ensure safety practices. Review paperwork and timecards.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks, as well as batteries and chargers.

• Complete necessary paperwork.

• Administer Company goals and policies through shop service and safety meetings.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior Company experience as a Service Technician.

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.

• Good written/verbal communication, customer care, organizational, and motivational skills.

• Ability to safely operate lift trucks.

• Technical degree preferred.
