Job summary

Curtis Contracting, Inc. is seeking a seasoned fleet service technician to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain company vehicles and heavy equipment. This role requires hands-on expertise with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and diagnostics.

You will use electronic testing equipment, perform routine maintenance, complete repair orders with up-to-date parts and manufacturer changes, and collaborate with supervision. Overtime may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong diagnostic, electrical, engine and transmission skills.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• CDL certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose services using electronic testing equipment.
• Perform minor repairs on electrical components, power windows, mirrors and door locks.
• Conduct routine maintenance on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment (brakes, fuel pumps, alternators, A/C, oil changes, tires).
• Ensure repair orders use current parts and reflect manufacturer updates.
• Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
• Overtime (>40 hours/week) may be required as business needs dictate.

Job description

Perform inspections and mechanical adjustments, diagnose, repairs and parts replacements for company fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose services through proficient use of electronic testing equipment
• Perform minor repairs (i.e. electrical components, power windows, power, mirrors, door locks, etc.)
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance on company vehicles, fleet trucks ( i.e. mechanical work on brakes, fuel pumps, alternators, air conditioning, oil changes, tire balancing and rotation, replacing batteries, etc.)
• Ensure repair orders are completed accurately including use of current parts and manufacturer updates and changes of vehicle requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned b manager or supervisor
• Overtime (more than 40 hours per week) may be required at times as business needs dictate

Requirements

• Must have 10+ years of relevant experience
• Strong diagnostic skills, electrical skills and well rounded on engines and transmissions
• Must have a good driving record
• CDL and State Inspection is a plus

Education & Special Knowledge

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver's license and safe driving record required
• CDL license with air brake certification is a plus but not required
