PAPE’ MACHINERY, INC. - AGRICULTURE & TURF DIVISION -TANGENT, OR is seeking a Shop Mechanic to service and repair agricultural equipment in our shop, ensuring repairs are accurate and completed promptly to maximize uptime for customers.

This role focuses on John Deere and allied products, with opportunities for ongoing training and career growth. We value hands-on technicians with 2+ years of experience across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with small engines and agricultural equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Team-oriented with ability to work without direct supervision.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Work on all makes and models of agricultural equipment in the shop to ensure repairs are accurate and timely.
• Diagnose malfunctions, repair, replace or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components including pump motors, valves, and related components, electrical and air systems.
• Assist with pre-delivery setup and installation on John Deere equipment and allied products.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Shop Mechanic, you will work on all makes and models of agriculture equipment in the shop ensuring equipment repairs are done accurately and timely. All your hard work is geared toward supporting our customers and maximizing their uptime.

Each day, you will be analyzing and diagnosing agriculture equipment malfunctions or failures. You will then repair, replace or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components including pump motors, valves, and all related components, electrical systems, and air systems. Additionally, you will assist with pre-delivery setup and installation on all makes and models of John Deere equipment and allied products.

WHAT YOU NEED

• 2 or more years of working knowledge of small engines and agriculturalequipment including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and airconditioning systems.


• A team-oriented personality, with the focus and drive to work without directsupervision.


• Basic computer knowledge.


• Self-motivation and assertiveness.


• Must provide own tools.

COMPENSATION

$25+/HR (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)
