Job description

For over seven decades, investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating, and industrial/commercial services.

We are seeking a mechanic to perform the following:

Job Description

• Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles, including tires and tracks
• Assemble mechanical components according to the manufacturer's specs
• Examine machines and perform diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
• Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
• Perform vehicle/equipment assessments and alert appropriate parties on issues that will prohibit their vehicle/equipment from operating correctly or passing an inspection
• Perform DOT inspections

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of four years’ experience
• Must provide own tools
• Must be willing to work as a team.
• Experience in electrical, hydraulics, and diesel preferred
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a Class A CDL within 12 months
• 40+ hrs a week expected
