Job summary

Specialized Maintenance Services, based in Pasadena, TX, is seeking a Shop Mechanic in Houston. The role offers $20–$35 per hour with full benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K, PTO and ESOP.

You will maintain and repair diesel trucks and contractor equipment on vehicles, while ensuring preventive maintenance meets DOT standards. Ideal candidates have 5 years of diesel experience, know hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, and can pass safety training and a background check.

Qualifications

• 5 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to pass safety training exams and a background check.
• CDL preferred or willing to obtain a CDL-B with Air Brake within 90 days.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair diesel trucks, from tractors to medium duty trucks.
• Maintain and repair mounted contractor's equipment on vehicles.
• Document preventive maintenance to comply with DOT regulations.
