Job summary

Fossum Materials in the Glasgow area is seeking a Full Time Seasonal Maintenance Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair mobile heavy equipment in a shop setting. The role focuses on preventative and break/fix maintenance, with responsibility to advise operators and management on equipment issues.

Applicants must hold a Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements. Duties include inspections, tuning, reporting, after-hours response, training, and other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and complete preventative and break/fix maintenance.
• Provide professional/technical advice to operators concerning equipment operations.
• Provide professional/technical advice to the Rolling Stock Manager on equipment technology ideas.
• Respond to and address nonfunctional equipment after hours as necessary.
• Complete regular inspections of equipment.
• Tune and configure equipment for optimal utilization and efficiency.
• Provide daily reports on equipment status.
• Check messages regularly and respond accordingly.
• Seek training and conferences to stay current in the field.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Duties

• Identify and complete preventative and break/fix maintenance
• Provide professional/technical advice to operators concerning issues with equipment operations
• Provide professional/technical advice to the Rolling Stock Manager on new and innovative ideas concerning equipment technology
• Respond to and address nonfunctional equipment working after hours as necessary.
• Complete regular inspections
• Tune and configure equipment for optimal utilization and efficiency
• Provide daily report
• Check messages on a regular basis and respond accordingly
• Seek out and participate in appropriate training and conferences
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Class A Commercial Driver's License required with Tanker and Hazardous Material endorsement.
