Tayl or Sudden Service, Inc. (SSI) subsidiary of Taylor Group, seeks a diesel mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair lift trucks and related equipment.

The role involves servicing gasoline, diesel, and propane engines, reading blueprints, and performing preventative maintenance with emphasis on safety and quality. The technician will maintain maintenance records, assist the parts team, and handle service calls when the Service Manager is unavailable, with welding test encouraged for

Qualifikationen

• Requires vocational or formal schooling in hydraulics and diesel engine repair.
• On-the-job diesel mechanics and hydraulics experience required (3+ years).
• Must be able to read blueprints and technical material.

• Inspect lift trucks and equipment to determine repairs.
• Repair gasoline, diesel, and propane engines with minimal instruction.
• Inspect, adjust, and repair hydraulic, cooling, fuel, electrical and exhaust systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve fleet condition.
• Maintain records of maintenance performed.
• Take service calls and provide assistance when the Service Manager is unavailable.
• Assist parts department in shipping and receiving of motor freight.
• Clean and maintain garage area; perform other related duties as required.

Sudden Service, INC (SSI) is a subsidiary of the Taylor Group of Companies, a third-generation family-owned business based in Louisville, MS since 1927.Duties/Responsibilities:Inspects lift trucks and equipment to determine the extent of repairs.Performs needed repairs on gasoline, diesel, and propane engines with minimal instruction.Inspects, adjusts, and repairs components as needed.Repairs cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems using diagnostic tools.Performs preventative maintenance as needed to improve the condition and performance of the fleet.Operates equipment to troubleshoot and test equipment as needed.Maintains records of all maintenance performed.Assists parts department in shipping and receiving of motor freight.Takes service calls and provides assistance when the Service Manager is unavailable.Cleans and maintains garage area as needed.Other related duties as required.Required Skills/Abilities:This job requires stooping, bending, climbing, and the capability of lifting 50 pounds.Basic computer skills required.Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical material.Education and Experience:Some vocational or formal schooling in hydraulics and diesel engine repair.Three years on the job experience in diesel mechanics and hydraulics. Schooling in these fields could substitute for some of the job experience.While it is not a requirement that the FSM pass the AWSD14 Welding Test, the incumbent is required to pass the tacker test.
