Qualifications

• Experience with metal finishing processes (painting, blasting, graining, sanding, powder coating).
• Experience in decorative metal forming and/or forging is a plus but not required.
• Proven ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive, high-performing team environment.

• Directly supervises craft and trade employees, including daily work direction, scheduling, and task assignment.
• Conduct regular performance conversations and provides timely, constructive feedback.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary processes in coordination with HR.
• Administrative tasks as required for payroll reporting.
• Oversee proper use, maintenance, and accountability of shop tools, and equipment.
• Enforce company policies regarding tool handling, storage, and care.
• Track inventory and communicates needs or deficiencies to the Division Manager.
• Communicated work expectations, priorities, and updates clearly to shop employees on a daily basis.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shop Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a team of 10-12 people, and ensure high-quality service and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a hands-on mindset, and a commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. Below are additional details on this position.

SHIFT: Monday-Thursday, 5:30AM-4:15PM with some overtime and travel required.

PAY: $30-35/hour

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience overseeing craft or trade employees in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment.

• Hands on knowledge of welding processes including MIG and TIG in a wide range of metals; certified welding credentials are a plus.
• Experience with metal finishing processes including painting, abrasive blasting, graining, sanding, and powder coating; patina application experience is a plus.
• Experience in decorative metal forming and/or forging is a plus but not required.
• Proven ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive, high-performing team environment.
