Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services seeks a Shop Manager to oversee the Oklahoma City shop, including mechanical builds, repairs, and supervision of mechanics. This role requires strong leadership, safety oversight, and hands-on expertise in fleet repair.

The position emphasizes excellent communication, inventory management, and scheduling to keep operations efficient. A CDL is preferred, with competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Previous mechanic experience of 5+ years.
• CDL is highly preferred.
• Excellent managerial and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare operating reports and to reconcile sales records.
• Extensive knowledge of automobile repair with ability to read and interpret technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and when necessary, may perform customer service functions or scheduled maintenance.
• Supervises and when necessary, assists with administrative services related to automobile repairs; tasks may include preparing cost estimates for customers, notifying customers of preventive and scheduled maintenance, and making repairs within skill level.
• Reconciles operating accounts and records including reconciling sales with cash and receipts.
• Drafts and maintains operating reports as requested by the division manager.
• Monitors inventory, and orders supplies and tools for the shop.
• Schedules and arranges necessary maintenance for the shop.
• Ensures that the shop is neat, clean, and safe.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Keep open lines of communication with all parties.
• Oversee All Licenses/Permits with Asset Manager
• Design and Update Equipment and Spray Systems to Specifications
• MUST be able to perform all aspects of fleet repairs including mechanical, hydraulic, welding, fabrication and minor body repairs.

Job Description

Physical Requirements:

• Exposure to gasoline vapors and other automobile fluids.
• Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stretch to perform automobile inspection and repair.
• Must be able to handle tools required to perform automobile repair.
• May be required to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
