Job summary

Saia in El Paso is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance mechanics and shop staff, oversee repairs, and direct shop operations.

You will set maintenance and safety goals, manage parts and inventories, and coach technicians in diagnostic tools and PM practices.

Preferred: Bachelor's in business, 5+ years maintenance experience including 3+ years in management, training in engine diagnostic software, and knowledge of TMW software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 5+ years equipment maintenance experience, including 3+ years in management.
• Factory training and certification in engine diagnostic software.
• Knowledge of TMW transportation software.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance shop staff across various shifts.
• Interviews candidates, trains new hires, and provides coaching to employees.
• Assists in setting shop goals for maintenance and safety programs.
• Oversees management of parts, tires, and supply inventories.
• Instructs technicians on the use of diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.
• Ensures proper preventative maintenance and repair practices on equipment.
• Manages approvals and payment processing for internal and external orders.
• Communicates with terminal management to maximize regional equipment availability.
