Job summary

GreenWaste is seeking a motivated Shop Maintenance Utility Person at our Marina, CA location to support one or more facilities. The role focuses on routine grounds keeping, building upkeep, and maintaining yard areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning yards, washing equipment, operating wash stations, and assisting with routing and driver support as needed. Strong attention to safety, detail, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine groundskeeping, facility upkeep, and basic building maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of safe work practices when using cleaning supplies, tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills when supporting drivers, shop staff, and other departments.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License (Class C)

Language Skill

• Proficiency in English, Spanish a plus

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to stand; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception

Work Environment

Typical work week is Monday through Friday. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in equipment, start/end time, service city/town and routes based on the operational needs for the day and or week.
