Reports To: Prefab Manager
Wages: $16/hr - $20/hr DOE

Position Overview:

Loenbro, LLC is looking to hire a Shop Laborer for our Prefab Shop located in Berthoud, CO. The Shop Laborer will help support the building efforts of the shop to fabricate cable and electrical trays, panel & transformer stands/pedestals, pre-made pre-cut wire runs with multiple cables, transformer wiring and electrical cabinet builds including wiring/terminations. This is a preliminary breakdown of the work to be performed and will most certainly change over time as the need for this shop increases to support other projects from inside the company.

Expected work schedule will be the standard 40-hour work week (Monday through Friday) with possible OT and weekend work as needed.

A Journeyman Electrician / Shop Manager will supervise this position to complete the work.

Job Duties:

  • Under supervision of a journeyman electrician, assist with electrical related and other assigned tasks.
  • Follow all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Carry and deliver materials and maintain a clean job site.
  • Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipment.
  • Use measuring equipment and hand tools to perform work.
  • Complete maintenance work orders on electrical equipment, testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and replacing defective parts.
  • Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems.
  • Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be dependable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Understand the importance of quality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills. Must be able to communicate with others to effectively promote efficiency.
  • Ability to work outside in extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Move in confined spaces.
  • Training with and operating equipment needed to move equipment and material.
  • Be able to work from heights on ladders, equipment, and platforms.
  • Work with limited working surfaces.
  • Work in areas with limited visibility.
  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
