Job summary

PPI Quality & Engineering, LLC is expanding its Quality Control team with experienced QC Specialists. You will witness inspections and testing per plans, verify equipment calibration, and ensure technician certifications are current.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of third-party inspection processes (NDE, FAT, Assembly).
  • Familiarity with API, ASNT, ASME, NACE, DS-1 quality codes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to interface with customers and co-workers.
  • Basic PC skills and spreadsheet proficiency.
  • Ability to work in a team and on a schedule, including long hours and weekends.
  • Decision-making ability for day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Witness inspections and testing per inspection plans, quality plans, industry standards, supplier and customer requirements.
  • Verify calibration/certification of inspection, measurement and test equipment.
  • Validate technician certifications are current for the scope of activity.
  • Act as Customer Representative at supplier sites, coordinating with customers and suppliers.
  • Generate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of inspections and testing activities.
  • Meet or exceed HSSE objectives and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate job progression and inspection results to coordinators and customers.
  • Promote safe work practices, including PPE usage at sites.
  • Comply with QMS and documented information.

Job Summary

PPI Quality & Engineering is a global provider of quality assurance and inspection services supporting the energy industry, and is expanding its Quality Control team with experienced QC Specialists. In this role, you will perform and witness inspections and testing activities to ensure compliance with industry codes, customer specifications, and PPI Quality & Engineering procedures. You will verify equipment calibration, confirm technician certifications, and produce clear, accurate inspection reports that support informed decision‑making. Acting as the customer’s representative at supplier and fabrication sites, you will promote safe work practices, communicate inspection results to project coordinators and stakeholders, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven professional who values precision, accountability, and operational excellence in quality execution.

About The Role
  • Witness inspections and testing per inspection test plans, quality plans, industry standards, supplier and customer requirements
  • Verify that inspection, measurement, and test equipment is calibrated/certified and meets all job requirements
  • Validate that technician certifications are current for the intended scope of activity
  • Act as the Customer Representative, working professionally with suppliers regarding scheduling, deliveries, and overall job execution
  • Generate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of inspections and testing activities
  • Meet or exceed HSSE objectives of customer and supplier, as well as PPI safety guidelines
  • Communicate job progression and inspection results to coordinators and customers via email or phone
  • Promote safe work practices, including PPE usage and compliance with supplier safety practices at sites
  • Comply with PPI Quality Management System and its documented information
Do you have what it takes?
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Thorough understanding of third‑party inspection processes (NDE, FAT, Assembly, etc.)
  • Understanding of and experience with industry quality standards and codes (API, ASNT, ASME, NACE, DS‑1, etc.)
  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interface with customers and co‑workers
  • Basic PC skills and some proficiency with spreadsheets
  • Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment and complete work on a schedule, including working long hours and weekends if necessary
  • Decision‑making ability, including making decisions regarding day‑to‑day operations and changing methods to obtain best results
Desired Qualifications
  • Current Electrical Certification
  • 3‑5 years of experience in a Third Party Inspection role
  • 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
