Job summary

Environmental Air Systems in Browns Summit, NC, is seeking Helpers to join our manufacturing shop to support welding, piping, ductwork, carpentry, or electrical work as assigned. You will learn valuable skilled trades and grow your career path through hands-on training and apprenticeship opportunities.

Responsibilities include assisting other trades, handling materials, operating power tools, and maintaining safety in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred.
Ability to read a tape measure required.
Ability to read blueprints preferred.
Ability to work independently and on a team.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift.
Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.

Responsibilities

Assist other trades employees in your department as directed (e.g. Welders, Pipefitters, Electricians, etc.).
Handle material.
Use power tools (e.g. circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw, etc.).
Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies.
Work in a fast-paced team environment.
