Job summary

Fox Marble & Stone Care and Restoration is seeking a versatile production teammate for a hybrid role across Wood Crating, Packaging, and Fabrication in our Richmond, CA facility. The position is non-exempt and hourly, starting at $20 per hour and commensurate with experience.

You’ll rotate through departments, ensuring quality, safety, and efficient workflow. Expect to contribute to packaging, crate construction, and fabrication tasks while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

• Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for quality and ability to read basic blueprints or work orders.
• Physically capable of standing long periods and lifting/moving objects over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Master Custom Wood Crating: measure, cut, and assemble wooden crates and pallets to protect products.
• Expert Packaging & Logistics: securely pack finished stone, manage inventory for shipping supplies and assist in loading.
• Support Precision Fabrication: assist with material prep, deburring, and finishing under supervision.
• Maintain Operational Excellence: follow safety guidelines and report issues to leadership.

Job description

The Team You’ll Work With …

This is a hybrid role designed to provide flexible support across our operations while maintaining high standards for quality and safety. You will be a vital member of our production team, trained to rotate across three key departments: Wood Crating, Packaging, and Fabrication.

This role reports to the Production Manager and is based out of our Richmond, CA facility. This is a non-exempt, hourly position (6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m). The positions start at $20 per hour, depending on experience.

The opportunities you will have …

• Master Custom Wood Crating: Spend the majority of your time measuring, cutting, and assembling custom wooden crates and pallets. You will ensure our industrial shipping containers are built to the highest standards to protect our finished stone products.
• Expert Packaging & Logistics: Securely pack finished marble, granite, and engineered stone using specialized materials. You will manage inventory for shipping supplies and assist in loading trucks and containers for safe transit.
• Support Precision Fabrication: Work alongside our fabrication team to assist with material preparation, deburring, and finishing. You’ll get hands-on experience operating basic shop machinery under professional supervision.
• Maintain Operational Excellence: Ensure a secure and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines, maintaining clean housekeeping, and reporting any technical issues immediately to leadership.

• Detail-Oriented Craftsman: You have a sharp eye for quality and pride yourself on “measuring twice and cutting once.” You are comfortable using a tape measure and reading basic blueprints or work orders.
• Physically Capable: You are comfortable working in a shop environment, which includes standing for long periods and occasionally lifting or moving objects over 50 pounds.
