Job summary

Rubberatkins is seeking a practical, safety-conscious Shop Helper to join our Operations team in Conroe, TX. This hands-on role keeps a busy factory organized and moving, from preparing materials to packing finished parts.

You will support production, assist with tool changes, stock counts, post-cure tasks, and deliveries. Training will broaden production skills and you may perform basic maintenance and routine checks, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare rubber materials and support production and tool-change activities.
• Pack, label and prepare finished parts for dispatch.
• Carry out post-cure work and clean tools per approved processes.
• Receive deliveries, collect goods and make business deliveries as needed.
• Assist with stock counts, housekeeping and basic maintenance tasks.
• Complete checks, record accurately and report defects or concerns.
• Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas per 5S and ISO 9001.

We are looking for a reliable, practical and safety-conscious Shop Helper to join our Operations team. This varied, hands‑on role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, supporting others and taking pride in keeping a busy factory organised, efficient and ready to deliver.

You will provide flexible support across our manufacturing operation—from preparing materials and packing finished parts to post‑cure activities, tool cleaning, deliveries, stock counts and routine site tasks. With training, you will have opportunities to develop additional production skills and take on authorised activities such as stamping and basic planned preventative maintenance.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing rubber materials and supporting trained colleagues with production and tool‑change activities.
• Packing, labelling and preparing finished parts accurately for dispatch.
• Carrying out post‑cure work and cleaning tools using approved processes.
• Receiving deliveries, collecting goods and making business deliveries as directed.
• Helping with stock counts, housekeeping and basic handyperson tasks.
• Completing authorised checks, maintaining accurate records and reporting defects or concerns promptly.
• Keeping work areas safe, clean and organised in line with PPE, 5S, quality and ISO 9001 requirements.

What we’re looking for

• A reliable, flexible and positive approach to changing operational priorities.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• A willingness to learn and complete role‑related training and competency assessments.
• A full driving licence appropriate to the company vehicle.
• The ability to undertake the physical requirements of a factory‑based role, including manual handling and standing.

Previous factory, warehouse, production or maintenance experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. If you bring the right attitude, care and willingness to learn, we will provide relevant training.
