Job summary

ETS is seeking a Shop Foreman in Dayton, OH for a hands-on leadership role in our fabrication shop. You will plan daily tasks, supervise fabricators and welders, and ensure quality through review of drawings and production processes.

The candidate will oversee shop staff, mentor team members, and uphold safety and workflow standards to maintain high performance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience, including supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Proven leadership and team management in a shop environment.
• Working knowledge of fabrication equipment, safety standards, and workflow optimization.

Your day-to-day as a Shop Foreman:

• Plan and assign daily tasks to fabrication crew based on project priorities and deadlines
• Supervise, train, and mentor fabricators, welders, and shop staff to ensure high performance
• Review shop drawings and specifications to guarantee accurate and quality fabrication
• Oversee production processes and inspect finished products for quality and compliance

Your skills and experience:

• At least 5 years of sheet metal fabrication experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
• Proven leadership and team management skills in a shop environment
• Working knowledge of fabrication equipment, safety standards, and workflow optimization
