Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC in Export, PA is seeking a Systems Assembly Foreman for a hands-on production role on the shop floor, building and testing vacuum systems daily while providing technical leadership to the assembly team.

This role focuses on hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly, mentoring technicians, coordinating workflow with the Systems Assembly Supervisor, and upholding safety and quality standards on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industrial mechanical, electro-mechanical, or systems assembly experience.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Experience performing hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly work.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, or lead other technicians.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using precision measuring devices and electrical testing equipment.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assemble standard and custom vacuum systems from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Perform mechanical assembly, bolting, drilling, tubing, wiring, and component installation.
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and quality verification.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and electrical test equipment.
• Prepare completed systems for shipment.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and product quality.
• As shop-floor technical leader, mentor assembly technicians and coordinate daily workflow.
• Assist Systems Assembly Supervisor with job prioritization and issue resolution.
• Identify production issues and recommend improvements to efficiency and quality.
