Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Experience on the production floor partnering with operations, supervisors, and operators.
• Ability to perform cycle time studies, time observations, and labor or capacity analysis.
• Knowledge of value stream mapping, waste reduction, standard work, RCA, 5S, and visual management.
• Data-driven approach to identify opportunities and drive practical action plans.
• CAD reading and layout review experience to support workstation improvements.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations and new product engineering to ensure ramp targets are met.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in the weld shop to improve flow and throughput.
• Perform cycle time studies and process analysis to identify bottlenecks.
• Partner with supervisors and operators to implement shop-floor improvements.
• Create and maintain process docs, standard work, layouts, and visual tools.
• Use data to track actions and communicate progress on throughput and delivery.
• Support new program launches by evaluating capacity and ramp plans.
• Facilitate root cause analysis with cross‑functional teams to drive corrective actions.
