Job summary

ICON INDUSTRIAL in Northeast PA is seeking a skilled shop fabricator to lay out, cut, fit, measure, and weld to customer specs. You will work in a fast-paced machine shop serving manufacturers and heavy industry.

Ideal candidates have blueprint reading ability, welding experience, and familiarity with presses brakes and shears. Overtime may be required; competitive benefits apply, including PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Lay out, cut, fit, measure and weld metals to specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Operate press brake and shear and other shop equipment.
• Overtime may be required and workmanship must meet standards.
• Experience preferred but not required; better pay with fabrication experience.

Job Description

JOB TITLE: Shop Fabricator – Northeast PA
PAY: Up to $28.00 per hour

JOB DESCRIPTION: ICON is currently seeking fabricators to support machine shop operations in Dalton, PA.

JOB SUMMARY: Fabricators must be able to lay out, cut, fit, measure, and weld metals to customer specifications. This highly detailed work requires knowledgeable of many techniques and tools.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATION:

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in the trade preferred but not required.


• Possess the required tools for this position.


• Welding experience is a plus.


• Ability to read and understand blueprints.


• Experience operating a Press Break & Shear as well as other shop equipment.


• Knowledge of mathematics and mechanics.


• Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.


• Expected to ensure their workmanship meets or exceeds applicable standard industry and or customer contract specifications.


• Direct industrial fabrication experience will result in better compensation.
