Qualifikationen

Shop Assistant / Shop Operations Support

Wickenburg, AZ | Full-Time | Onsite

Pay Range: $27-$30/hour, regular overtime

A well-established structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication company is seeking a highly dependable, organized, hands-on individual to support the day-to-day operations of its steel fabrication shop in Wickenburg, AZ.

The Shop Assistant is critical to keeping projects, materials, and shop operations moving efficiently by providing coordination, tracking, documentation, and operational support to shop leadership and fabrication teams.This role plays an important part in the overall efficiency and organization of the shop.

This is not just a general labor role — the long-term goal is to find someone who can become a trusted right-hand support person within the shop and gradually take ownership of key day-to-day operational responsibilities.We are looking for someone the team can genuinely rely on long-term — a person who takes pride in ownership, keeps things organized, and helps ensure projects and materials continue moving forward efficiently each day.

Schedule

• Core Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:00 AM - 1:30 PM

• Regular overtime is needed based on production demands, including Friday and Saturday shifts

What You’ll Be Doing

• Receive and organize incoming steel materials, including I-beams, tube steel, and structural components

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in machining or fabrication environment

• Proven ability to read and interpret industrial blueprints and mechanical specifications is preferred, or strong ability to learn

• Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced shop environment
• Willing to be on their feet, work hard, and get hands dirty
• Ability to work in a physically demanding and hot shop environment

Strong comprehension and ability to process and retain information

• Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Someone who naturally takes ownership and follows through
• Comfortable working independently once trained

Basic computer skills, especially Excel

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; stand and walk up to 3 miles per shift on concrete floors

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Strong documentation habits and the ability to follow, maintain, and update written quality procedures

• Comfortable with repetitive and detail-oriented work

• Tekla experience is a plus, but willingness to learn is important
