Mike's Lawn Equipment in Edmond, OK is seeking a dependable Shop Assistant to support daily operations in our equipment dealership and service shop. You will assemble new equipment, operate a forklift, maintain inventory, sharpen mower and chainsaw blades, perform light-duty mechanical work, and assist technicians in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, and takes pride in quality workmanship and a well-run shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred (training may be provided).
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
• Prior experience with lawn equipment, power equipment, or shop work is a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assemble new equipment according to manufacturer specifications.

• Unload incoming shipments and whole goods deliveries.
• Load equipment for customer pickups and deliveries.

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time position
• Tuesday-Saturday schedule (closed Sunday & Monday; occasional extended hours during peak season)
• Pay based on experience
