Job summary

Mesa Natural Gas Solutions LLC is seeking an entry-level Shop Apprentice for our Carlsbad, NM facility. Under general supervision, you will perform light mechanical repair and preventive maintenance on IC engines, natural gas and LP generators, and assist Senior Technicians with routine tasks.

This full-time role offers career growth to a Shop Technician with demonstrated performance. Must have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required; entry level.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Wash units, trucks and equipment inside and out.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pressure washer.
• Move generator units to and from locations using a forklift.
• Perform forklift inspections daily, weekly and monthly.
• Assist shop mechanics with parts removal/installation and inspections.
• Keep work area clean and tools organized.
• Perform light mechanical work on IC and natural gas engines.

This is entry level position with opportunities for advancement to a Shop Technician position upon sustained outstanding job performance.
