Job summary

City of Lincoln is seeking a Range Operator to ensure a safe environment at the shooting range and provide limited instruction to key personnel. The role involves range monitoring, maintenance, and keeping the area clean and organized for shooters.

Responsibilities include assisting with R&D, supporting production projects, and handling FFL transactions as certified. This full-time, non-exempt position requires a high school diploma and physical fitness.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of firearms safety and handling.
• Ability to stand, talk, listen, and use hands to operate range equipment.
• Vision: close and far vision required.
• Experience with FFL certification.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds overhead.
• Strong technical, problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented and reliable.
• Previous range experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Range monitoring and maintenance to ensure safe operations and setup.
• Cleaning and maintaining the range and surrounding areas, PPE used daily.
• Assist hard armor department, support R&D, and contribute to production; FFL transactions.
